Krishna in Lotus Glory
Product Details
At the heart of the composition stands Shreenathji, depicted in his iconic pose with one hand raised, representing the lifting of Mount Govardhan to protect the people of Vrindavan. He is shown adorned with exquisite jewelry, a magnificent crown, and detailed ceremonial garments, standing on a blooming pink lotus pedestal, symbolizing purity and divinity.
Shreenathji is surrounded by adoring gopis (female devotees) and sacred cows, each illustrated with loving attention. The gopis offer platters of sweets, devotion, and prayers, while the cows, adorned with red handprints and ornaments, reflect Krishna’s role as Gopal (protector of cows). The background features a beautifully patterned green textile-like panel, framed by lush banana leaves and flowering trees, evoking the sacred grove of Vrindavan.
At the bottom, a band of lotus-filled waters with white cranes and pink flowers adds grace and movement to the scene, while a row of miniature cows in procession enhances the decorative storytelling.
The outer border is ornately framed with floral motifs, alternating between lotus medallions and vines in earthy reds, yellows, and blues, echoing the richness of traditional Indian textiles and temple decor.
